2 years ago I told my husband Apostle Vincent L. Smith I was going to the church on Christmas Day before anything else and I did. It just hit me out of no where. ” I said happy bday Jesus” and then tears came and I felt like I wasnt giving him enough love to take time to celebrate him. I had countdown my bday as I do every yr. I even make sure I buy myself a gift every yr and have the audacity to celebrate the whole month lol. I was making all these plans because the Big 50 was approaching. Even got a lil upset because everyone else wasnt as happy as I was about my special day (so I thought but they were planning surprises). Anyway that yr my mind set changed and I did a self examination. We say Jesus is the reason for the season. We say it’s his birthday but we don’t go to his house and celebrate with him. I’ve been taking him a gift ever since not just my praise as a gift but I put something in the offering and write happy birthday Jesus. We plan and talk about what we are going to do on our birthdays and we want people to come to our party and celebrate with us . So I will continue to celebrate Jesus birthday with him before I do anything else as long as I can get to his house. So tomorrow isn’t out of the norm for me. I’m happy it fell on Sunday.
