Just thinking…daily and too often we hear ppl say “I’m not perfect and no one is.” Are we saying this to cover up what we are doing, just did or not doing? Or trying to look and sound humble? When we sin it’s our flesh and it’s the flesh which separates us from God. This flesh could never be perfect. It is very true that Perfection is not attainable by human efforts Hebrew 7:11. That’s why Jesus died and rose. Yet Jesus said “be ye perfect Matt 5:48. My personal opinion he wouldn’t tell us to be something we couldn’t (through Him only). So I choose to strive toward perfection instead of saying I’m not. How about simply declaring “I press toward the mark”. We are so careful not to admit we are perfect because we don’t trust our flesh (we shouldn’t) but I’m not speaking fleshly. Or we dont want ppl to think we’re puffed up and that we have arrived. Jesus continued regardless of what ppl thought. We say we want to be like Jesus. REALLY, so why we walking around saying “I’m not perfect?” God already knows and ppl do too but it cant be left blankly like that. Yvette wants to be perfect and can be through God. But worrying about ppl will cause you to forfiet the perfection Jesus has made attainable through His blood, 2Cor 5:21 there’s nothing wrong with boasting in God 1Cor 10:31. who has made us perfect. If we are in God then we are the righteousness of Him and we boast in Him only. I refuse to always remind myself of my imperfection or allow it in my spirit when someone say I’m not. Instead I choose to continue to please God as He continues to perfect (mature) me in Him. If I sincerely declare I am perfect in God then I am. I speak and seek His perfection in my life resulting in my imperfect flesh coming under subjection to Him and the conclusion is making me perfect. It’s attainable so Yes I am perfect in Him because God said I can be, should be. I refuse to keep rehearsing and declaring I’m not because Lord knows I desperately want to be. Lord help me to PLEASE YOU and walk in YOUR PERFECTION!!!
