JUST THINKING: If we attend church and we know what the Bible says. How come when we choose not to do it we try to condemn the preacher when they read and preach from that SAME Bible? I can respect a person more that admits they know the Bible is right and it is them who is wrong and that either they want to get themselves together or they just want to keep doing what they’re doing and be respectful not flaunting like everyone has to accept it.
But all this bashing the preachers needs to stop . Whether they are right or wrong and whatever it is they’re doing the truth Still Remains the Same and God’s word will never change for ANYONE . It becomes a LAME excuse when things like “how can they be preaching to me when they’re doing what they’re doing?” YES It’s a true statement in some instances but it still doesn’t give any of us an excuse to do what we know is wrong according to God NOT the preacher .
We ALL better worry about what God says and what we’re doing and not the preacher. STOP playing it over as a scratched record and simply own up. The Bible also says to him who knows to do good and does not to him it is sin . Stop thinking just because you walked into the church dictates what the sermon is or should be . Oh but now we have a new excuse that says “man wrote the Bible not God.” All I know is in the meantime I’m going to do my best to live teach and preach what the Bible says.
God uses whoever he wants and one day while we’re in our mess he might just use us to talk about our own mess while we’re in it. Wouldn’t that be awesome?
As my grandmother Overseer Lucille Speight always said “you might get by but you’re not getting away.” Then she would ask ” have I made you my enemy because I told you the truth .”
The reality is Folk that’s doing what they want to do have become angry and feel they have the right to say the preacher does not have the right to preach God’s word. What’s being missed is it’s still God’s word and if it steps on your toes oh well. SADLY, these days Folk toes don’t even hurt anymore.
So if we all keep doing what we want to do there is a time for judgement. None of us is exempt. What do you think God is going to ask? Ummm did you listen to the preacher or did you listen to ME through the preacher?
Preachers, make sure to be living and preaching What God Says in his word to the people not at the people. Make sure the bashing isn’t true. #truthwithlove#
