Something To Think About Nugget “Memory”

Today I want to talk about “Memory”
Thinking about the computer age of the 20th century it amazes me how very little stay the same and yet there is constant change. In this century you actually have a choice of what amount of memory you want to purchase for your computers, phones, audio etc. Naturally more memory is usually in a higher demand.

When I think of our brain and it’s role with the mind it sends me in awe. How is it that at age 48 I can clearly remember events as far back as age four and sometimes a glimpse of my latter age three. I could be watching a television or a movie and a jilt triggers my mind. I can hear a song and another jilt or walking down a street. Instantly my 48 year old brain starts going backwards and then fast forwards into my mind and I find myself saying ” I remember when”.

Some memories are pleasant and others are not but they exist. Sometimes its so imperative for me to remember in order for my next move to come into fruition. Unlike the methods of enhanced memory that can be purchased, the human memory has a deadline or expiration date. There are things we rather forget however, they have made us who we are and whether we welcome or deny them they are ours and the reality is they often times are shared with others in their memory banks as well.
It’s when you are around others and you say “do you remember when” and they reply “Yep I do” and then pieces are being added to that one memory. This type can not be purchased and then outdated or upgraded. It is priceless and stays with us until that appointed time and even when we die it does not enter the grave with us but is still carried on through others that shared or heard about a happening along the way. Personally, I rather have the “I remember when” and someone replies…”me too”.

Always remember to blessed God!
