Saturday, February 11, 2012 Today I want to talk about “True Accomplishment”
I’m dedicating this nugget to my eldest daughter.
Without going into details because of the delicacy of the situation and private person she is…
I want to thank her for her strength, courage, positive attitude, dedication and present accomplishments. With this in mind I want to encourage all who will read this nugget to always concentrate on your strengths, courage, positive attitude and dedication. The key word being “your”, all these ingredients will lead to great accomplishments.
I am now 48 years of age and coming to the realization that if I diligently utilize all these ingredients and allow them to become a part of my character, I can’t help but to succeed in my endeavors. Most times we have been guilty of fulfilling other’s accomplishments and we come out with a pat on the back and a “well done” but come on let’s be honest, are we really gratified? If I can be chosen and trusted with a specific task by certain individual(s) because it has been proven that I can get the job done…Then why not apply that same trust to my personal self and go forth and accomplish my (your) goals, dreams and desires.
My daughter willingly accepted what God had decided that He would choose and trust her with a situation that most of us would probably say “No God not Me, I can’t bear this” Yet she chose to trust God and not what others expected from her, and the outcome was a victorious accomplishment for her. There was no pat on the back or well down job from any human being. Her kudos of praise came from within herself. Every time she pressed to succeed a specific goal, she did and her response was and still is “Mommy I did it”. I would smile and acknowledge “yes you did”. As she continues to set her goals, I continue to smile.
Yes an accomplishment that she desired and received and all glory and praise belongs to no human being but to the one who chose and trusted her that she could and would accomplish what He chose and trusted her to do, God!
When I please God, I have accomplished pleasing myself.
“I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me” (Phillipians 4:13, KJV )
